The story of Villa Puebla began in 1880, following Eugène Lions’ successful return to Barcelonnette. To realize his vision, he sought the expertise of Italian master builder Victor Berato, whose craftsmanship laid the foundation for what would become an enduring architectural masterpiece. This initial construction marked the birth of one of the valley’s most iconic ‘Villas Mexicaines.
