We live in the historic and charming Villa Puebla, which was featured in the Swedish magazine Gods och Gårdar. Villa Puebla is located in France’s most untouched national park, Mercantour, and we live in the picturesque alpine village of Barcelonnette. We get to enjoy both the national park and the village during our daily walks and during some of our lunches and dinners.

If you want, you start the day with yoga/mindfulness together with the local yoga teacher Albane-Charlotte Vitalis. We bring our bodies and creative minds to life, at a leisurely pace. No prior knowledge is required.

Together with Anna Bauer, we learn about Hönsestrik. Hönsestrik has its origins in 1970s Denmark and is characterized by the colorful pattern borders and the inserted personal messages. You have the opportunity to let loose and revel in colors and patterns just as you want.

We learn about the history of hönsestrik, inspiration, technique tips, color theory, pattern cavalcade and of course knitting! We familiarize ourselves with hönsestrik by starting to knit a project of our choice.

Anna Bauer is a textile artist educated at the University of Design and Crafts. Anna has published the books “Hönsestrik a love story”, “Hönsestrik forever”, Färga garn och stika”, “Kofta & klänning” and “Anna Bauer’s pattern book”.
